Deaths

Dick J. Albers, 92, formerly of Royal, Illinois, died March 12 at Country Health Care and Rehab in Gifford, Illinois. He retired from Building Services at the university. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at St. John Lutheran Church, Royal. Burial will be in Huls Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Memorials: St. John Lutheran Church Youth Mission Tripor Heifer International.

Martha Baxter North, 96, died March 2 in her home at Friendship Village of Bloomington, Minnesota. She worked as a secretary for the dean of the College of Education at Illinois. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Champaign First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to North Fellowship Garrett Evangelical, 2121 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60201 or to the Baxter Family Endowment, Champaign First United Methodist Church, 210 W. Church St., Champaign, IL 61829.
