Richard F. “Rich” Gallivan, 82, died Oct. 22 at Clark-Lindsey Retirement Village, Urbana. He worked at the U. of I. for 33 years, retiring in 1993 as an electronics technician II for Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities. Memorials: Alzheimer’s Association or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tolono.

Kazuko Shimooka, 100, died Oct. 18 at Clark-Lindsey Meadowbrook Healthcare Center, Urbana. She worked at the U. of I. for 20 years, retiring in 1971 as an administrative clerk for the Graduate College. Memorials: Shimooka Flower Fund at Clark-Lindsey Village.
