Bruce Larson, 88, died Sept. 30 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was a professor of biochemistry and nutritional sciences for more than 40 years, retiring in 1992. Memorials: Urbana Park District or St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Urbana.
Charles W. Pratt, 71, died Sept. 20 in Price, Utah. He was a professor of microbiology at the U. of I. for 23 years, retiring in 2002.
Sandra “Jill” Russell, 65, died Oct. 4. She started in 2001 as a secretary in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement, later becoming a staff secretary in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. She was promoted to office manager in 2008.
