Deaths

Dennis W. Cable, 68, died Sept. 3. He was an accountant II for rehabilitation education administration for 18 years, retiring in 2012. Memorials: U. of I. Disability Resources and Educational Services through U. of I. Foundation or AseraCare Hospice.

Janet Cornelius, 77, died Sept. 19 at her Penfield home. She was a visiting assistant professor of history at the U. of I. in 1977. Memorials: Les Turner ALS Foundation or Carle Hospice.

Kenneth V. Davison, 96, died Sept. 17 at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana. He worked at the U. of I. for 30 years, first as an assistant radio engineer, retiring in 1976 as a subforeman carpenter at the Physical Plant for Facilities and Services.

Benjamin A. Jones Jr., 89, died Sept. 21 at Meadowbrook Health Center at Clark-Lindsey, Urbana. He was a professor of agricultural engineering and later became the associate director of the Agricultural Experimentation Station at the U. of I., retiring in 1992. Memorials: The department of agricultural and biological engineering department through the U. of I. Foundation.

Robert F. Toalson, 83, died Sept. 15 at Presence Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. He was a visiting lecturer of recreation and park administration in 1974, and in 1978 was a visiting lecturer of leisure studies at the U. of I. Memorials: Champaign Parks Foundation, Champaign County Forest Preserve District, or McKinley Presbyterian Church.
