Robert W. McCleary, 93, of Mahomet, Illinois, formerly of Tolono, Illinois, died May 9 at Glenwood Assisted Living of Mahomet. He worked as a laborer in the Operations and Maintenance Department, eventually becoming foreman of the labor shop. He retired from the university in 1987 with 30 years of service. Memorials: Disabled American Veterans.
Aimee Heeter, currently the vice provost for finance and administration at Indiana University, will become the vice chancellor for finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign effective Aug. 1, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship has been awarded to 42 University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign undergraduate students this spring.
