Illinois alumnus Omar Yaghi is one of three recipients of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Yaghi earned a Ph.D. in chemistry from Illinois in 1990.

Bialeschki named Office Professional of the Year 2025
Cathy Bialeschki was selected as the Office Professional of the Year 2025 by the Illinois Administrative Professionals organization at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Bialeschki is an administrative aide with the Illinois Natural History Survey, a unit at the Prairie Research Institute.
