  • Book celebrates planning, building of University of Illinois campus

    Lex Tate, co-author of “An Illini Place – Building the University of Illinois Campus,” stands near Altgeld Hall, which was built in 1896 and was the original University Library, then housed the law school and is now the home of the math department. The book describes the plans and stories behind the creation of the campus.
