  • 1970s program attempted to diversify Illinois library school

    The Carnegie Scholars was a group of 30 minority students admitted to the University of Illinois’ graduate library program in the early 1970s in an effort to increase the diversity of the program. Library professor Nicole Cooke wrote about the history of the program in a recently published journal article.
