  • Prints flocked with gunpowder to draw attention to gun violence on college campuses

Guen Montgomery poses with the woodblock in which she hand-carved the words “Run, Hide, Fight.” The woodblock is on display at Krannert Art Museum. Montgomery wore a hoopskirt and military cap when she did the carving at the gallery. Beside her are her carving tools and the detritus from the carving.

She plans to make prints from the woodblock and flock the prints with gunpowder as a way to draw attention to mass shootings and gun violence on college campuses.
