Author to host workshop and discuss her novel ‘Forest Dark’ April 9

Nicole Krauss, an award-winning and best-selling author, will talk about her latest novel, “Forest Dark,” and her other works at two campus events April 9.

The first event, scheduled for 1 p.m. in Room 2090 in the Foreign Language Building, is a workshop featuring a discussion of a brief fragment of “Forest Dark” along with a chapter by Abraham Joshua Heschel, a leading Jewish theologian and civil rights activist, titled “Radical Amazement.”

The second event is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the Spurlock Museum of World Cultures and is titled “An Evening with Nicole Krauss.” She will read from “Forest Dark” and discuss her work with Brett A. Kaplan, a professor of comparative and world literature. A reception and book signing will follow the presentation.
