The Audiology Clinic at Illinois is offering free adult hearing screenings Jan. 23 through April 27. Appointments may be scheduled by calling 217-333-2230. No scheduling is available by email.
The clinic educates and trains doctor of audiology students to provide clinical diagnostic, consultative and treatment services for individuals with communicative impairments. The clinic is housed in the department of speech and hearing science, which is accredited by the Council of Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
The clinic is open to the public to provide diagnostic hearing assessments, industrial hearing evaluations and amplification services such as hearing aid consultations, demonstrations, fittings, dispensing and repairs, as well as assistive listening devices. Anyone who is interested in hearing assessment, hearing protection devices or management of hearing problems can make an appointment. No referral is needed.
The Audiology Clinic is located at 901 S. Sixth St. in Champaign, on the southwest corner of Sixth and Daniel streets. Parking is available at designated metered spaces in the adjacent south lot. It is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
