Brief: Trumpeters to converge on UI campus

The public will have the opportunity to horn in on a number of
events planned as part of the International Trumpet Guild
Conference at the UI from June 15 through 18.

Guild members - including musicians, teachers and scholars from
around the world - meet annually at a different location to share
information and participate in performances and competitions,
according to this year's host, UI music professor Michael Ewald.

All events open to the public will be held in various locations
at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. See the Calendar
for details.

Some concerts - including those by military bands - are free.

Beginning Monday, tickets for various other conference events
at Krannert Center will be available to the public. Those events
each have a $10 admission price.
