Working together
A delegation of officials from China was on the UI campus Nov. 1 to take part in a signing ceremony at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. Lu Hao (left), governor of Gansu Province, and other dignitaries from China met with campus officials, including Chancellor Richard Herman, to sign memos of understanding with the UI. The memos are agreements among the institutions to pursue joint educational, research and cultural opportunities.
